$19.95 Unit Cost

.75” Barrel Clip

The.75” Barrel Clip was specifically designed to facilitate fast retrieval and storage of your weapon. Used as an alternative to Sheaths, Clips are mounted to the Weaponholder via pressure fit and screws.  The .75” Clip is designed for use with barrel diameters of .75”and smaller.

Molded Silicone Clip Covers prevent barrel damage from metal to metal contact with the Clip and are operable from -67°F to 482°F allowing for the storage of hot weapons. When worn or damaged, clip covers are easily replaced in seconds.

In addition to a pressure fit mount, clips are secured to the MPWH with two screws in the threaded inserts in the MPWH.  The combination of pressure fit and screw attachment provides over 700 pounds of connection strength between the clip and MPWHAlways use the screw attachment.  Do not rely on the pressure fit attachment alone.

As with all securing components on the Weaponholder, a Velcro strap should be used when securing a weapon in the Barrel Clip. We recommend the use of the VS-QRC or other VS straps.

.75” Barrel Clip

Tip: The .75” Barrel Clip has been designed to provide fast secure retrieval and storage of your weapon.  The Clip’s function requires a strong attachment to the MPWH.  A combination of pressure fit and screw attachments provide over 700 lbs. of attachment force.  While the Barrel Clip can be removed and replaced with Sheaths, be aware this will require removal of screws and disengagement of the pressure fit and may take several minutes to accomplish.

If you anticipate the need to quickly switch from the clip to sheaths, we strongly suggest you use two Weaponholders, one with a Barrel Clip and one with Sheaths. Whether you are using the Barrel Clip or Sheaths, always use the strap.

Q: Can I use the Barrel Clip without the screws?

A: NO – Doing so can be dangerous. The Insert Screws provide over 600 pounds of additional attachment strength to the MPWH and must be used for secure attachment.  Do Not attempt to use the Barrel Clip without the use of Insert Screws.  Use of the strapping system is also required to completely secure your weapon.

Q: What type of strap should I use with the Barrel Clip?

A: The purpose of the Barrel Clip is to allow fast retrieval of your weapon.  We recommend the VS-QRC strap which was specifically developed as a Quick Release Strap to fit the Barrel Clip.  The Barrel Clip was also designed to handle hot weapons.  The VS-QRC strap is flame retardant and has an additional two pounds per square inch of engaged holding strength over non VS straps.

Q: Do I need to remove the clip from the MPWH to replace Clip Covers?

A: No. Remove the damaged Cover and wet the inside of the new Cover.  This will allow the Cover to slide on the Clip Arm.  Continue sliding the Cover onto the Clip Arm until the top of the Cover rests on the top of the Clip Arm. Slide any slack down the Clip Arm.  The moisture will evaporate.

Q: If I lose the Clip Screws or hex wrench, can I get replacements?

A: Yes.  Part # IS-.375 replaces both the wrench and screws.

Q: How tight should I tighten the clip screws?

A: Make sure the screws are screwed in completely, but do not overtighten them.  Doing so can strip the threaded  inserts which will make them unusable.

Q: Are replacement Clips available?

A: Yes. Part number BC-75 replaces the Clip and includes Clip Covers.

Q: How do I order replacement Clip Covers?

A: Replacement Clip Covers are Part # CC-75.

Q: Can hot weapons be secured in the clip?

A:  Yes.  The Clip Covers can accommodate barrels with temperatures as high as 482° F.

Q: What is the temperature range of the clip?

A:  The Clip & Clip Covers are designed to function in Arctic to desert conditions.  The Clip Covers have a temperature range of-67°F to 482°F
