MPWH Accessory Kit
Tip: Always carry a full MPWH Accessory Kit when in the field.
Q: How can I replace my Accessory Kit?
A: There are 2 ways. Complete Kits can be purchased, or you can replenish any of the components to keep your kit complete.
Q: What’s the difference between the Mil Spec – MPWH Accessory Kit and the AKC- MPWH Accessory Kit?
A: The Mil Spec kit contains a set of insert screws and an Alan wrench used to secure the Barrel Clip included with the Mil Spec MPWHS.
Q: Can I reuse the Accessory Kit components?
A: Most components cannot be reused. The exceptions are the Key Slot/Mounting Screws and the Insert Screws. Do Not attempt to reuse Prep Wipes, Primer Sticks or Locking Strips.
Q: Can Locking Strip be substituted if I don’t have the right size?
A: The Locking Strip components of the MPWHS have been carefully designed to allow the proper holding strength. Part of this design includes the size of the Strip. You can use the .75”x 3” or the .75” x 4” Locking Strip with the MPWH if you do not have a .75” x 2.6” Strip. Caution: DO NOT USE THE .75” x 2.6” LOCKING STRIP WITH THE BUTT PLATE KIT (BPK).
Factory installed Locking Strips on the MPWH and BPK have different stem counts than the .75” strips. Paring Locking Strips with the wrong combination of stem counts may weaken the mounting strength of your system.
